Turing Scheme 2026/26

The Turing Scheme is the UK Government’s global student mobility programme, providing grant funding to schools, colleges, and universities across the UK and British Overseas Territories. It helps students take part in international study visits, work placements, cultural exchanges, and educational trips.

The scheme aims to widen participation by improving access to international opportunities, especially for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Funding can help cover travel, accommodation, and living costs, making overseas learning more affordable and accessible.

Funding will continue for the 2026–27 academic year, and education providers can apply from 12:00 (noon) on Monday 26 January 2026.

Application deadline: 16:00 on Monday 16 March 2026.

Who can apply?

Turing Scheme funding is available to schools, Further Education (FE), and Higher Education (HE) providers across the UK and British Overseas Territories.

Applications are submitted by institutions — not individual students. Students of any nationality can take part, provided they are enrolled at a participating institution and meet the scheme’s eligibility criteria.

The scheme supports inclusive access to international study, training, and overseas work placements.
